Yuraygir goanna (i)
From the "I am the landscape" series featuring Australian native fauna in situ, this is one of the lace monitors I encountered at Minnie Water in the Yuraygir National Park. There is something a little frightening about these enormous reptiles, of which I saw several, including two who faced off in a territorial stoush just next to the camp site. They are inquisitive and beautiful.
A two plate aluminium etching using sugar lift and open bite etching. Varied edition - each print is different.
