3 day aluminium etching workshop April 21-23 2024

10am - 4 pm over 3 days - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday  April 21-23 in Lizzie's  studio in the New England Contemporary Print Gallery, 153 Beardy Street, Armidale.
We will be etching on aluminim with copper sulphate, the "environementally and user-friendly" etchant that is a great alternative to the more toxic acids traditionally used. This provides a rich range of tones that add depth and form to your imagery.  There is also an opportunity to explore other techniques such as sugar lift and chine collé.
No experience needed as you will be guided all the way. 
$590 fee includes all materials including luscious French inks, tarlatan, beautiful art papers and everything else you need.
It's a good idea to bring your sketch book with a few drawings that you might like to turn into prints - be prepared to be flexible and creative!
Tea, coffee and bickies provided, bring your lunch.
Consider also enrolling in the one day dry point etching workshop on Good Friday - it's a great intro. 
 
Group size strictly limited.  Adults only except by agreement with a parent or guardian also enrolled.
